However, it is the structural and construction details that make this home truly contemporary: A combination of flat and sloped roofs, Japanese influences as seen in the stepping stone entrance surrounded by a pond, solid wood Wenge floors, Stucco-style Deco Pro paint for a sturdier finish, a metal trellis with simulated wood that hangs above the front walkway, and a floating front door—surrounded by glass.
